For categorization at all events, an athlete's triathlon age is their age as of December 31st of the current year. (In other words, how old will you be on December 31, 2006?) Age minimums:

• For a race length longer than a Sprint (longer than 750m+20K+5K triathlon or 2.5K+20K+5K duathlon), an athlete must be aged 18 or older.

• For Sprint distance (750m+20K+5K triathlon or 2.5K+20K+5K duathlon), an athlete must be aged 16 or older.

In order to participate in a Triathlon Manitoba sanctioned event, an athlete must either have a Full Membership, or must purchase a One-Day Membership when registering for the event.

Race rules and safety tips

Calendar Updates on:

January 18th:  The Riding Mountain Triathlon weekend moves back to August 19th and 20th.
January 20th:  All three The Original Swim Then Run Down Under events have been cancelled because of mechanical problems with the bulkhead in the pool. It will not be fixed until the Spring shutdown.
January 29th: Borealis Multi-Sport Triathlon/Duathlon will be held on Sunday July 30th.
February 2nd:  Tri in the Park will be held on Sunday July 2nd.
February 14th:  Add Try-a-Tri to Kenora Borealis Multi-Sport Triathlon/Duathlon.
March 21st: There will be no duathlon in Morden this year.
July 12th:  The Foilman run distance is 10.5K.
