For categorization at all events, an athlete's triathlon age is their age on December 31st of the current year. Age minimums:

For a race length longer than a Sprint (longer than 750m+20K+5K triathlon or 2.5K+20K+5K duathlon), an athlete must be aged 18 or older.
For Sprint distance (750m+20K+5K triathlon or 2.5K+20K+5K duathlon), an athlete must be aged 16 or older.

In order to participate in a Triathlon Manitoba sanctioned event, an athlete must either have a Full Membership, or must purchase a One-Day Membership when registering for the event.

Race rules and safety tips

Calendar Updates on:

January 23rd: Brandon / Turtle Crossing Multisport Day -- Kids of Steel and Westman Triumphs Try-a-Tri is cancelled for 2008.
March 14th: Kenora Borealis Multi-Sport Triathlon, Duathlon and Try-a-Tri moves to Sunday July 20th. Lac du Bonnet Triathlon, Duathlon, Try-a-Tri, & Youth Challenge tentatively moves to Sunday July 27th.
March 27th: MB / SK Regional Youth Championship will be held at Stonewall Quarry Park.
April 1st: The Thompson Triathlon will now be held on August 24th.
April 11th: The Lac du Bonnet Triathlon, Duathlon, Try-a-Tri, and Youth Challenge event has been cancelled for 2008.
June 2nd: Add a Try-a-Tri to the Interlake Regional Event.
June 5th: Add a Sprint Duathlon to Pinawa free spirit Triathlon.
