February 21, 2000 --- Snowman Triathlon results
Triathlon Manitoba is pleased to announce the success of the Snowman 2000 Triathlon, which took place on Saturday February 19, 2000 at the Harbour View Recreational Complex, 1867 Springfield Road.
This race featured a Kids of Steel (ages 8 to 16) and Little Snowman (any age) distance of a 2K run, 2K ski, and 2K skate, as well as a Snowman distance of a 5K run, 5K ski, and 5K skate.
The overall Male winner in the Kids of Steel Distance was Nathan Champagne with a time of 25:39 and the overall Female winner was Amber Miller with a time of 26:41. In the Little Snowman, the overall winner was David Markham with a time of 23:54. The Manitoba Snowman School Championship Banner was awarded to Joseph Teres School for earning the most points.
The overall Male winner in the Snowman distance was Paul Lapointe with a time of 39:38, and the overall Female winner was Kim Gusdal with a time of 52:37.
