June 21, 2000 --- St Malo Triathlon

Triathlon Manitoba is pleased to announce the upcoming weekend of triathlon events in St Malo Provincial Park hosted by the Tribalistic Triathlon Team.   Saturday June 24, 2000 a Kids of Steel race is being staged for children ages 8 –16 and Sunday June 25^th, 5^th Annual Triathlon de St Malo, is scheduled to start at 9:00am. 

This race features a variety of distances:

·        The Standard Distance which is a 1500m swim, 40km bike, and 10km run.  This distance will see 1999 Winners Patrick Peacock and Edie Fisher racing to defend their titles.  This distance is also a qualified for the Provincial team that will travel to either Edmonton or Cornerbrook later this summer.

·        The Sprint Distance is features a 750 m swim, 20km bike and 5km run

·        Participants can also choose between two Open Water Swims of 750m or 1500m
