June 8, 2000 --- 2000 Manitoba Schools Triathlon Challenge

Triathlon Manitoba is pleased to announce the upcoming 2000 Manitoba Schools Triathlon Challenge (for Early Years, Middle Years and High Schools) on Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at Birds Hill Provincial Park - East Beach.  Pre-registration is required. 

The race distances for this event range depending on the category from a 100m -300m swim / 5 - 15 km bike / 1 - 3km run.  Race start is at 6:30pm at the East Beach. 

The defending champions from last year are St. Avila School, Lockport Junior High, and Selkirk Comprehensive respectively. The Selkirk Royals and other schools are looking forward to the challenge from your school team.  

This event is also the 2000 MTS Manitoba Summer Games qualifier for Winnipeg residents. The top finisher in the 10 -11, 12-13, 14-16, 17 - 18, and Open (19+) age categories may be eligible for Team Winnipeg.
