August 23, 2001 --- Kids of Steel Wind-up

Triathlon Manitoba is pleased to announce that the final race in the 2001 Kids of Steel Triathlon Series will take place at Birds Hill Park (East beach). 

·       Sunday September 9th   Kids of Steel Triathlon & Tri-a-Tri  

Junior distance (8-11 years)    100m swim/5k bike/1k run

Senior distance (12-16 years)  200m swim/10k bike/2k run

Adult Tri-a-tri                400m swim/15k bike/3k run 

On-site registration from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m.

The Kids of Steel Series introduces young people to the sport of triathlon in a fun, non-competitive, and safe manner.  The Tri-a-tri distance is also becoming an increasingly popular way for parents and other newcomers to give the sport a try.
