July 29, 2001 --- Manitobans results at the 2001 ITU World Triathlon Championships


Triathlon Manitoba is pleased to announce the performances of the Manitobans who competed as part of the Canadian Team at the 2001 World Triathlon Championships July 21, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Edie Fisher won the silver medal in the Women's 40 -44 age group category with a time of 2:18:27. This is the seventh time Edie has medalled at Worlds.

Junior triathlete Kevin Breiter had an excellent race placing 5th in the Men 's 16-19 group in 2:01:33.

The next race on the provincial race Calendar is the Sandman Triathlon in Lac du Bonnet on Sunday July 29th. The race offers a variety of distances from a Standard or Sprint distance triathlon, Duathlon and a Tri-a-tri  for participants.
