August 7, 2002 --- Trappers' Triathlon 

The 18th Annual A & W Trappers' Triathlon is taking place Sunday August 11th up in The Pas, Manitoba.

The day's events feature a number of distances for novice to veteran athletes to choose from:
· Olympic distance triathlon 1500m swim, 40k cycle, 10k run
· Sprint distance triathlon 750m swim, 20k cycle, 5k run
· Try-a-tri event 300m swim, 10k cycle, 2.5km run

The races begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Winton Pool.

Watch for the athletes from the TriNorth Triathlon Team in The Pas who will be competing for points in either Triathlon Manitoba's Grand Prix Series or Sprint Series, as the event is race number six in both provincial series.
