July 18, 2003 --- Manitobans to the Canadian Duathlon Championships
The 2003 Canadian Duathlon Championships will be taking place this coming Sunday, July 20th, in Calgary, Alberta. This race features an Olympic distance duathlon, consisting of a 10km run, 40km bike, and 5km run for participants in the elite, under 23 and age group categories. Juniors compete in a sprint distance event, featuring a 5km run, 20km bike, and 2.5km run. The elite, under 23, and Junior categories are all draft legal races.

Participants have the opportunity to earn spots on the 2003 Canadian Duathlon Team that will be traveling to Affoltern am Albis, Switzerland on August 29 to 31, 2003 for the ITU World Duathlon Championships.
