July 29, 2003 --- Essex Road Multi-Sport Day

Triathlon Manitoba is pleased to announce the return of the Essex Road Multi-Sport Day after a year of absence from the event calendar.  The Essex Road Multi-Sport Day offers an event for everyone in the family, and will take place on Saturday August 2^nd. Essex road is just north of Kenora, ON.

Morning Events:

• Kids Of Steel

Open to children between the ages of 8-15. The Kids Of Steel distances are as follows:
            8-11  -- 100m swim, 5km cycle, 1km run
            12&13 short -- 200m swim, 10km cycle, 2km run
            12-15 -- 300m swim, 17km cycle, 3km run 

• 1500 Meter Open Water Swim

• 17 km “Go Like a Goat” Road Running race

Afternoon Events:

• Essex Road Mountain Bike Triathlon 

750m swim, 17 km cycle, 5 km run 

• Duathlon

2.5 km run, 17 km cycle, 5 km run 

• Aquathon

750m swim, 17km cycle, 1500m swim                       

The cycle and run for all events take place on a gravel road and mowed pasture.
