May 5, 2003 --- Prestige Duathlon Series begins

The start of the Prestige Duathlon Series, on Tuesday May 6^th, marks the kick-off of Triathlon Manitoba’s season.  This event is the first in the series of 3 Duathlon events that will take place on Tuesday nights in May at Birds Hill Park.  The event features a variety of distances:  2k run / 13k bike / 2k run or a 4k run/ 24k bike/ 4k run, as well as a Kids of Steel and run-only distances. 

This will be the 17^th Season for the popular Tuesday Night Series, which is an excellent opportunity for novice athletes to familiarize themselves with the sport.  It’s also an established venue for the experienced to whip into race shape.  Race starts at 6:30 with on-site registration taking place starting at 5:15pm in the East Beach.  

The next race on the Tuesday night schedule is May 13^th - Race #2 in the Prestige Duathlon Series.
