The top Olympic distance competitors will also be trying to qualify to represent Manitoba at Nationals.

The event is part of an exciting new Kids of Steel® Race Series for Juniors aged 16-19 and Youth aged 14-15. This series will consist of 6 races across Canada, with the kick-off race being held in St. Malo on June 27th. A national ranking system will track the progress of Canadian Juniors. Athletes must compete in a minimum of three races and rankings will be based on the best three finishes for each athlete. Erin Braun, Amy Briscoe and Jenna Wilson who all represented Canada at Worlds in the past year will compete against other top Canadian Junior competitors as they try to take the series lead.
