On June 26 and June 27, the 9th Annual Multisport Weekend was held at St. Malo Provincial Park, hosted by the Tribalistic Triathlon Team.

A number of different events and distances were offered on Sunday, where 211 participants swam, cycled and ran. In the Olympic distance (1500m swim, 40km bike, and 10km run) the top three male finishers were Jeff Morier in first (2:02:06), Jacques Marcoux in second (2:08:31) and Jared Spier in third (2:08:39). The top three competitors in the Female National Kids of Steel® Junior Sprint Series (draft legal) were just seconds apart on their finish. On the male side, Ben Adam from Alberta came in first with a time of 1:00:57, Willie Bell placed second finishing in 1:04:01, and David Gagnon from Quebec placed third in a time of 1:05:28.

The chilly 13° water made wetsuits mandatory. As a result, many athletes switched to the Duathlon categories. In the Long Duathlon event (5km run, 40km bike, 5km run) Christel Leclair and Gary Coleman were the overall winners. The overall Sprint Duathlon (2.5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run) winners were Magally Zelaya and David Markham.

Upcoming races include Kids of Steel® races in Snow Lake on July 3 and in Pinawa on July 10 as well as the Free Spirit Triathlon on July 11.
