August 21, 2006 --- Sarah-Anne Brault 2nd at Sprint Nationals
Manitoba
National Triathlon Center athlete Sarah-Anne Brault finished 2nd at
the 2006 Canadian Sprint Championships in Drummondville, PQ.
Sarah-Anne finished with a time of 1:03:03 behind Pan-Am Champion and
Elite National Team athlete Kathy Tremblay.
Sarah-Anne
had a great race getting out in a good position out of the swim.
She then was in the lead pack of 7 cyclists, and stayed with them all the
way through the run. In the end she
was out-run by Elite National Team athlete Kathy Tremblay.
Coach
Gary Pallett enthused about his young athlete, saying that this was “another
amazing accomplishment considering this was only her 2nd sprint triathlon
ever.”
Sarah-Anne
now has some time-off before she heads to Luasanne, Switzerland in late August
to compete as part of a strong contingent of Junior athletes on Canada’s
National Junior team at the World Triathlon Championships.
Congratulations
Sarah-Anne!
