July 25, 2007 --- Next Triathlon Manitoba events

The next event on the Triathlon Manitoba Calendar is the third annual, Kenora Borealis Multi-Sport Triathlon/Duathlon on Sunday, July 29th.  This event features 5 race distances.

Olympic Triathlon -- 1500m swim / 40K bike / 10K run

Sprint Triathlon -- 750m swim / 20K bike / 5K run

Long Duathlon -- 5K run / 40K bike / 10K run

Sprint Duathlon -- 2.5K run / 20K bike / 5K run

Try-a-Tri -- 300m swim / 10K bike / 3K run                                   

The Try-a-Tri is a great event for anyone interested in trying the sport for the first time.  

The weekend is a busy one for Triathlon enthusiasts as the Stonewall Kids of Steel race is happening in Stonewall Quarry Park on Sunday July 29th.  A group of Manitoba youth athletes are headed to Saskatoon to compete in the Manitoba/Saskatchewan Regional Youth Championships, which are also being held on Sunday June 29th.
